2007 Criterium Series (TNC)

Location:      Balloon Fiesta Park

I-25 S. to Alameda exit. Go west on Alameda to main park road, turn right into park, follow for approx. 1.0 miles to parking area.  (NOT the Balloon Museum parking lot)  Warning – There is some road construction going on during the summer, so there may be some small detours coming into the Park area. Please park vehicles just west and behind Gardunos. Walk or ride your bike continuing north into the Park area. 
Please do not leave water bottles, gel packs, or any other trash.

Restroom facilities are available inside Gardunos on the Green restaurant.

    Please use the bike rack and do not lean bikes on fence or building.

 There will be a Porta-potty located near the registration area.

Course:         An almost flat, approximately 1 mile loop. We will run one course during May to accommodate soccer and another course for June, no soccer.

NO warm up riders allowed on the course - use a stationary trainer or other park roads
Lapped riders will be pulled at 3 laps to go.  ‘A’ racers (ONLY) may ‘sit in’ during the ‘B’ race.   

Start Times: D Race at 5:30pm, others follow in order of: C > B (about 6:30PM) > A
Kids (12 & under) Race at 5:50 PM – any kind of bike – one lap

                         Parent  MUST sign a release and be ready to go after the ‘D’ race

Distances:   Races will vary from 20 to 45 minutes in duration, depending on available daylight and race category.  D race is always shortest and A the longest.

Categories:  D Race- Women Cat 3,4; Jr Women and Men under 15

                      C Race- Senior Men Cat 4 and 45+ Cat 3,4; Women Cat 4, Jr Men 15+; Beg.                                    

                      B Race- Senior Men Cat 3,4; Women Cat 1,2,3; Jr Men

A Race- Senior Men Cat 1,2,3; Women Cat 1,2,3

Entry Fees:  $12.00 anytime prior to your first race at the registration table.

 No extra charge for multiple races.  Cash or check to: Paul Walton

                        Women race for $6, Junior’s (18 and under) - free entry.

                        ACA annual or 1-day ($10/event) license mandatory to race, including Jrs.
$1 charge for number replacement if you forget to bring your number.

Prizes:           Cash and merchandise primes every night

                        Merchandise generously provided by Sportz Outdoor

                        Points accumulate (top 5) each week and series awards presented 6/26 to the overall winner in each of the 4 categories.
